7 causes why Entrepreneurs never find their Passion

Finding your passion

Horace Mann said, “A person should be ashamed to die, until (s)he has made a monumental impact on mankind.” How are you going to leave your mark? What will your legacy be? Becoming who you were meant to be begins with taking the first step.

  • Have you ever had a dream that you put on the back-burner?

  • You have been so busy in your everyday work or job that you barely even remember what you have been dreaming about or what you are passionate about anymore?

  • Do you feel that all your days look the same, your weekend are the same replicas of each other? On Mondays you are already looking for the weekend so you can relax or do something with your family or friends? But the weekends do not come soon enough and they do not last long enough?

  • Do you dread your feet every morning wishing you can stay longer in bed rather than going to work?

  • Do you ever stop and pause for a second to ask yourself what is my role in this life?

  • Or you know where you want to go just do not know how to get there.

  • You believe that you do not have the resources: Emotionally, mentally, financially, socially, psychologically, skill or talent wise, education wise to take the next step?

  • You are scared to loose what you have and you do not want anyone to make fun of you if you fail?

If you know what I am talking about, if you had that little voice in the back of your mind telling you what are you waiting for but you are trying to drown it by making noise to silence it?

If you can relate to this, or you have been giving it some thoughts even if you have no clue where to start; you are on the right track, half of the solution to any issue is to first acknowledging it.

We’ve all had times in our lives when we were on top of the world, where we felt we achieved everything we set up to do at that moment, where our performance was extraordinaire, where we felt we mattered, we existed, we were alive, savoring the moment, so involved in what you are doing that nothing else seemed to exist. This is called the "flow" where we love what we do and are so involved that nothing else matters, time doesn't matter, effort doesn't matter, this is where you were doing/ working your passion.

We all have a gift, a genius inside of us, some find it and some do not and some do not even know it is there. Our unique talent is what differentiates us from everyone else, it is our way to success, once we become aware of it, we need to develop it and use it, trials and errors and all, using it on a daily basis will help us practice it. We can then be of service help others, inspire others, empower others to empower themselves. Only then we can fulfill our role in this world, and achieve the mission why we were created in the first place no matter how small or big is our contribution, while feeling alive

Finding what we were born to do, our passion – which is not necessarily linked with making a lot of money – is not limited to some people, it is within ALL of us. It is that feeling of happiness and fulfillment, it is that twinkle we feel in our heart, the big smile we get on our face, when we do what we love to do.

Our passion doesn’t necessarily mean our job, but if it is our business then it is great, I know it is counter intuitive, for example your passion can be helping save little dogs, though it is not what you do for living, but because you want to save dogs, you donate either your time or money that you earn from your business to save the little dogs and you feel accomplished and satisfied

We will not reach our full potential till we know what we are passionate about, we need to start (if you didn’t already) on the journey of self-discovery from within out, discovering our core essence, what we were born to do. Entrepreneurship is a life long journey that never stops, our passion might even evolve as we go.

Acting through or with passion, is when we are at our best.

The challenge based on what I see and hear every day is that many do not know what their passion is, or what is passion; some believe that they have more than one passion and some believe if what they feel doesn’t bring them millions in revenues than it is not a passion as we have been told by many experts over and over is:

Find and follow your passion and you are home free” though they never explain what your passion is, most importantly what individually passion mean for each one – it is not a cookie cutter format and it is not directly related o wealth or at least not necessarily – it also depends on our own definition of wealth and success

7 reasons why some Entrepreneurs might go through the end of their lives without finding their passion are:
  1. They do not give themselves a chance or the time to try as they are in their comfort zone they know the pros and cons of the life they live and do not want to shake off the “Status Quo

  2. Not believing it is possible to live a passionate life it is only for certain people and not everyone

  3. Scared of change, they feel safe where they are because everyone else around them is doing the same thing

  4. They feel that “passion” is fluff and is not an important crucial element of life

  5. They feel obligated to work that way to support their loved ones even if they hate what they do

  6. Self-limiting beliefs and doubts, having fears following their dreams as: fear of failure, of criticism, of judgement, of rejection, of ridicule. Or even of success

  7. They do not persevere, they give up at the first challenge instead of forging forward or have no clue whatsoever on where to start, what to expect or what makes them happy, fulfilled or satisfied

When I talk about finding and living your passion, I do not just mean for you to find a career you love, or even just a cause to volunteer for, but it is about a mind shift, a lifestyle that is filled with passion, that can manifest in a career or a cause. Most people just get to dip their toes. Test the water then step back and recoil in their “Status Quo”

Why do we need passion in our life?

In simple words, without a passion we are nobody, we are just a programmed computer acting in a particular way. Just because we breathe, work, sleep and eat it doesn’t mean we are satisfied, fulfilled or are simply alive. Having a family, a job, and a home can be satisfying, but when we talk about passion I mean self-satisfaction, that if you feel it, you will radiate it around and will affect everyone around you

We have seen people like some athletes and actors make multi-million dollars income, and they still are miserable or suicidal. Some of them even lose all the money.

So money in itself is not a passion. Having No passion makes us feel empty inside.

So let me ask you this, let us say you have inherited a huge amount of money or won the lottery, after paying off all our debts including taxes, you have so much money left for you and your family, securing your future and all your needs and wants

What would you see yourself doing knowing that you have no threats? Close your eyes for a minute, take yourself there and say out loud what is the first thing that comes to your mind that you would be doing?

What you think about, what comes instantly to your mind right away, or see yourself doing is your passion!

You can repeat this exercise whenever you feel you are stuck or feel like you are losing your passion or feel like you are in stuck in Status Quo

Your passion will increase your resilience and persistence to keep going at what you love, it will strengthen your ambition to strive and thrive to learn more about what you love and become an expert at what you do, it keeps you focused on your goals as we pay more attention to those things we believe in and love.

Passion will give you focus and energy you can channel to drive your ambition and achieve your goals to reach your potential

The journey of 1000 miles starts with one step, in order to succeed you need to:

  • Be Self-Aware of who you are at the core; not who you think you are or not who others want you to be

  • You need to know your strengths and your weaknesses

  • You need to be different, do what you love, involve your passion

  • Have the courage to pursue your dreams, dream big

  • Start small, strive to be the best at what you do

  • Ask for help when you need it

  • Accept feedback positive or negative there is always something to learn from it

You have a light inside of you, go out and share your light with the world.

Let me know what is your passion in life!
